Perhaps you can tell by now that we are all about people!
You can see very clearly that I've dotted these 'About us' pages with my own personal family photos. You can also see that unusually, I've built not one, but THREE sub-pages - extending the 'About' pages rather considerably. But why?
The reason for this is something known as 'full disclosure'. This a legal term defined as the following:
full disclosure n. the need in business transactions to tell the "whole truth" about any matter which the other party should know in deciding to buy or contract.
Perhaps I've interpreted this in my own way - but I've tried to put myself in the position of a parent (which of course - I am!) looking for a tutor for my daughter. I'd be happier and more relaxed about the situation if I could trust whomever was behind the company.
But trust only comes with knowing someone. How can every client know me? Well of course they can't - so I've taken the unusual step of putting myself 'out there' for all to see.
You can see where I live; you can see my family having a good time; you can see how we're a close, loving family - most probably very similar to the one you have!
How do I know this?
Well, you would hardly be looking for a private tutor if you weren't a concerned, loving and caring parent.
By giving you this snap-shot (literally) of my family life, I'm hoping to give you some insight into the kind of person I am, and in that way give you some idea of how I run my life and more importantly where you're concerned, how I run my company.
Throughout my years teaching, and throughout the last few years running Ash Tutors, I've come to realise that any kind of success in both of these fields absolutely, categorically MUST be based on relationships and communication between people. And that's what I aim to achieve in everything that I undertake.
