Are you tired of trawling the net through the thousands of maths tutors available?
Are you worried they might not be quite who they seem, or even if they're actually a qualified teacher?
"Your child deserves the best possible start in life."
I’m a parent just like you and I wouldn’t want my child to have anything less than the best.
That’s why I personally scrutinise all new tutor applications at my company – and reject 8 out of 10 candidates, because they don’t meet the highest standards I've set.
For many national tuition companies, this is an automated process - no-one even LOOKS at the applications!
But I know teaching, I know education and I know children. I was a full-time primary school teacher for over 20 years. I also taught maths for Year 6 then through to GCSE level privately, so I KNOW what works, and the kind of teacher that makes it work.
So I'm the ideal person to help you find the right tutor for your child – from over 100 professional teachers in the North West.
More than 600 parents in the area have trusted me to provide over 18,700 hours of private tuition in the last 8 years – and I’d love to help you too.
I take the stress and uncertainty out of tutor search!

Right now, you're in research mode. You know the problem exists and that your child probably would benefit from some one to one tuition with a dedicated and professional teacher.
So you're thinking, "I need to find out about this. How much is it? Where do I start? How do I pick a tutor from the thousands online? Can I trust them? What happens if I need to cancel, do I still have to pay? Will it work? How long will it take? How can I ensure they'll put maximum effort into it? Is this tutor credible? Do they need to be insured? How do I know if they're qualified? Should I ask for a DBS? How do I know they haven't been sacked from a school? What exactly will they do for the money? What happens during holiday periods?..." I bet I've thought of a few questions you haven't, and I bet you're thinking of some that I haven't!
So, we've established you're presently researching things - and highly unlikely yet to be in a position to buy, and that's fine, it's what I'd expect from a Google ad! So I want to convince you that I'm a genuine, honest and trustworthy business owner (and teacher!) who knows exactly how to solve your problem.
Any money spent on a private tutor is wasted money if it doesn’t actually make any difference! There are plenty of cheap alternatives - who will happily rock up at your house with unplanned lessons, no learning goals, little motivation and no sense of being monitored.
(My son's tutor) has been a fantastic inspiration to (my son) and totally changed his attitude to doing maths. I am very grateful for all (the tutor's) help, encouragement and support over the past year and will definitely continue to promote Ash Tutors. (My daughter) has also improved dramatically with her English. Again (the tutor) has really worked hard with her. She has now moved into the top set and is much more confident, enjoying her English lessons with a positive attitude." Mrs Thomason, Wigan
During this research phase, you will have seen lots of other private tuition companies online.
But did you know many of these are simply automated directories?
They are little more than shop windows that put tutors in front of parents – with no checks, no advice, no follow-up monitoring, no continual added value, no recourse if things go wrong, no ANYTHING!
At Ash Tutors, I do so much more.
"Thanks Geoff, your service has been outstanding, more companies could do with some of the drive and enthusiasm that you have!" Kay Livingstone April 2016
Your child could be having their first Maths lesson in just a few days. With Ash Tutors, you’re not tied into any sort of contract – you can stop tuition at any time.
If you'd just like to chat, without any obligation of my paid service, then I'd be more than happy to hear from you. You can reach me either by calling 07828 092 816, or simply email me at geoff@ashtutors.co.uk.
I love helping kids, and I'd be happy to point you to some free resources or perhaps something that I've used in the past - all for free! I look forward to making your acquaintance!
