What makes my company, Ash Tutors, COMPLETELY different to all the rest?

Any money spent on a private tutor is wasted money if it doesn’t actually make any difference! There are plenty of cheap alternatives - who will happily rock up at your house with unplanned lessons, no learning goals, little motivation and no sense of being monitored.

1. Agreeing with client and tutor specific, written LEARNING GOALS as to what you’re specifically hoping to achieve by using a tutor for your child.
2. Ensuring that all parties are focused on the learning goals  (in a gentle low-pressure, low stress way!). Lesson focus will be on learning in a fun way - but clarity of purpose must be maintained by all parties to ensure those goals are reached.
3. Ensuring that all lessons are planned and specifically tailored to your child’s needs.
4. Ensuring that feedback is given every lesson, to keep the you informed and the child on track for success. This enables parents to continue the learning or consolidate it between lessons.
5. Ensuring parents and tutors are aware of the tutor's roles and expectations by providing a WRITTEN DOCUMENT prior to lesson commencement.
6. Ensuring there are pre assessments - shared with you, and then regular updates on these assessments so you know the rate and amount of progress.
7. Ensuring the monitoring of tutors by continual contact with the parents.
8. Offering continual email support that is age-specific to your child, to involve the whole family in the learning process.
9. You can stop tuition at ANY point - only 1 week’s notice needed.
10. 1 to 1 works for anyone - the key questions is how long will it take? If it’s taking too long you can stop tuition, or try a change of tutor.
11. There are many things wrong with the current educational system. However, many of the features of our service are taken directly from it. Why? Because it works. There is a difference though. Ours is a ‘gentle’ clarity of purpose, rather than a stick to beat people with!
