Ash Tutors – Roles & Expectations
This document applies to all managed tuition arrangements and is shared with both tutors and clients.
1. Role of Ash Tutors
Ash Tutors provides a managed tuition service, coordinating setup, continuity, and support while tuition is active.
2. Role of the tutor
Tutors are self-employed professionals responsible for lesson delivery, planning, and professional conduct.
3. Role of the client
Clients support consistency, communicate promptly, and provide a suitable learning environment.
4. Lesson structure
Lessons are typically weekly and one hour in length unless otherwise agreed.
5. Scheduling and rescheduling
A rescheduling-first approach applies. Reasonable notice should be given where changes are needed.
6. Communication
Tutors and clients communicate directly on lesson matters. Ash Tutors remains available for support if required.
7. Holidays and breaks
Extended breaks may result in loss of a tutor slot.
8. Ending tuition
If tuition ends or the managed service is stepped away from, Ash Tutors’ responsibility ends and will be confirmed in writing.
9. General expectations
All parties are expected to communicate respectfully and raise issues early.
