Sarah is an enthusiastic, qualified English teacher and has successfully taught for twenty-two years. Throughout her teaching career, she has worked with students of varying degrees of ability, and is able to effectively communicate and provide an inclusive teaching environment, where she can meet the needs of all students. She has sound knowledge and experience of planning and teaching effective lessons at Key stage 3 and GCSE English and English Literature following both the AQA and Eduqas exam boards.

Paul has over 20 years teaching experience in various settings - more recently at Wigan and Leigh College. He is able to teach students of any age up to Higher GCSE level. He was personally recommended by one of our established tutors. Having worked for Ash Tutors for several years, Paul has more than proven his skills, demonstrated in excellent testimonials and several long-term clients. But don't let his apparent 'laid-back' profile pic fool you, as he often says, "I'm the least photogenic person ever!".

Maisie has been teaching English in various High School since 2018, both in AQA and Eduqas at GCSE level. She can also tutor English up to A-Level. Her background experience includes working with children who have special educational needs, which gives her the full set of skills needed for one to one tutoring. She currently works with children who have various additional needs on a daily basis. Maisie's knowledge of the GCSE exam and her experience teaching children towards that goal makes her a great choice as a private tutor.

Shelley has been teaching for over 25 years in various roles as a primary Deputy Head and formerly as a primary tutor here at Ash Tutors - where she was one of our star performers! For the past 7 years she's been teaching GCSE English in secondary schools, specialising in SEN, and helping Year 11s through their final exams. It's great to have her back!

Jack started his career as an English teacher back in 2016 and has worked with Ash Tutors since 2018. He has taught in several schools - gaining a broad spectrum of experience and currently teaches English full-time in a local High School. He is qualified to teach English Language and Literature through GCSE right up to A-Level - a rare find indeed! Jack is particularly interested in helping boys access the English curriculum, as statistically, boys struggle more than girls - something Jack is keen to address.
