A talented young teacher personally recommended to us by one of our established staff, Dan is in his 7th year of teaching maths (2019) at a local High school, where he also holds the post of Head of Year 11. He has a degree in computer science and completed his PGCE at Edgehill University, so is well up to date with the latest teaching techniques. Feedback has been excellent, and we're pleased to have Dan on our team.

Paul has been teaching locally in Wigan for over 12 years now, and shares the responsibility of overseeing the maths department. He was personally recommended to us by one of our established maths teachers and would be a great choice due to the depth of his experience. Adam is an experience secondary maths & science teacher who was personally recommended to us by one of our established science tutors. Achieving a first class Masters' Degree in physics, Adam is ideally placed to help any children requiring support in all 3 GCSE sciences, A Level physics or GCSE maths which he's taught in various High Schools. He currently tutors online, or can possibly travel around South Manchester or Trafford.

Gary has a wealth of teaching experience over the last 24 years, from primary to secondary and even 6 years as a head teacher. We are very lucky to be able to offer someone with such a broad knowledge of the school system and of teaching in a range of styles. If Gary hasn't seen and done it, it likely didn't exist! One of his particular specialties is tutoring GCSE maths.

Danny has been teaching maths for several years now in a local High School, so is well versed on delivering the curriculum to students from Year 7 right up to GCSE level. He's happy to tutor online, or to travel a few miles to a client's house. As a secondary school teacher, Danny has worked with all ranges of abilities.

Carl is an experienced secondary maths teacher with over 7 years in local High Schools under his belt. Carl has taught across all age ranges in secondaries and helps to coordinate the Year 6 pupils during their transition into school by running maths activities across the ability ranges. At GCSE level Carl has taught all abilities, pushing pupils at Foundation level to gain a Grade C, but also helping students to achieve grade As from middle sets etc. Carl is familiar with the new maths curriculum and is an official EdExcel exam marker at both KS2 and GCSE level! 

Paul has over 20 years teaching experience in various settings - more recently at Wigan and Leigh College. He is able to teach students of any age up to Lower GCSE level. He was personally recommended by one of our established tutors. Paul has successfully guided several students with specific learning difficulties through GCSE maths for Ash Tutors, and has particular skills in those areas - a great choice for those struggling students.

Natalie has been with us since the start and has over 12 years experience as a qualified maths teacher in an Outstanding School. She has had many experiences with 1 to 1 tutoring of GCSE pupils specifically aiming to achieve various grades. All her lessons are planned to suit the student's specific needs, with feedback given outlining what has been taught and any areas to work on themselves in preparation for the next lesson. She is also an Examiner for Edexcel and marks GCSE papers and KS2 SATS papers which gives her an excellent insight into what examiners are looking for.

Jane has a wide and varied teaching career spanning 25 years. During that period she's taught in a couple of local High Schools, lectured at Wigan and Leigh College, taught various age groups in Botswana - and still found time to indulge in her hobby of health and nutrition! Jane has ample experience of teaching GCSE and A level maths, both to school age children and also to adults. A rare find indeed!

Karen has been teaching GCSE maths for many years at High Schools and colleges across the borough of St. Helens, so she has a wealth of experience with students of all ability groups and needs. She's also an accomplished and experience private tutor having tutored from her home or online for over 12 years. Natasha has been teaching in a secondary school for several years now at GCSE and A-level in high schools within the local area. During that time she has taught students from various backgrounds and with differing abilities and special need, from dyscalculia, dyslexia to ASD. She has taken students approaching GCSE through to their target grades, both in school, and on a one to one basis. Natasha also has experience working with Years 5 and 6 children from the primary phase, either when working towards SATS or in preparation for private school entrance exams.

Kathryn has been teaching secondary maths for many years right from the primary age range up to GCSE and adult. She has worked in various primary schools as the developer and facilitator of a programme called 'Family Numeracy' which she delivered with great success. Kathryn has taught maths at further education colleges, to school leavers and to adults.

Janice has been involved in teaching, in one form or another, ever since qualifying in 1976. In her extensive teaching career she has worked with a wide variety of age groups. She has taught in Nursery, Infant, Junior, and Secondary Schools, as well as having done a 6-year stint in a Sixth Form College. She also has more than 14 years' experience as a private tutor.
